GLENN DANZIG ON DANZIG
"Are we dangerous (speaking about DANZIG) Sure kids are looking
for a little danger. Not a lot... Just a little, but you know
who we really scare? The evangelists. We represent the fall of
everything they've built up. Scary? We're very scary to the
people who've built a system where you're not encouraged to think
of yourself."
"I always thought people come to a show to be entertained. We
offer more than Rook 'n Roll and killer songs. We understand
drama, powerful imagery and powerful words. We're not saying
stupid stuff.
"I'm just searching for answers. I read a helluva lot and the
more mysterious the subject the more intrigued I am."

HOW TO SPOT A BOOTLEG PRODUCT!
Guidelines: Must say C+P GLENN DANZIG/EVILIVE MUSIC or STATICAGE MUSIC.
1. Sound quality: demand to listen to the record. If it sounds
like garbage it's a bootleg. If they don't let you hear it, what
are they hiding?
45's:
1. Live albums & extended play 45's- except for THE PLAN 9 &
AGGRESSIVE ROCK (German) releases for "EVILIVE" (MISFITS). There
are no DANZIG related live releases. If you got one it's a
bootleg.
2. Singles- 7" 45's: THE MISFITS put out (7) seven 7" 45's GLENN
put out 1 solo 45). DANZIG & SAMHAIN never put out a 7" 45- if
you have one. it's a bootleg.
3. Labels- If a record has no label on it, it's a bootleg.
LOGOS:
1. MISFITS/SAMHAIN products always carry a PLAN 9 RECORDS logo
with an official scribe # or PLAN 9/CAROLINE TRADEMARKS (in lower
corner on back).
*Also MISFITS releases always list band members (except for the
HALLOWEEN 45).
Rules: Posters and similar Promotional materials:
Quality: If it looks like someone slapped it together, or
amateurish. It's a bootleg.
Logo: Official merchandise will have our affiliated record
company. DEF AMERICAN, or WARNER BROS., PLAN 9-CAROLINE.
T-Shirts: The shirts you see at shows are the only ones official.
Other designs that don't usually have a quality look or display
a logo with GLENN'S name (at the bottom) are bootleg.
Be a smart consumer, if the price is a little too high and the
records are in with our real releases, it's a pretty good bet
it's a bootleg. Pay no more than you pay for our other records.
Also: If the price is too low on a seven inch. be cautious. Real
MISFITS records rarely go below $75-100. Mom & Pop stores,
(small, independent, punk rock-type stores) are the biggest
offenders when it comes to selling bootleg products. Especially
t-shirts.
In closing we would like all of you to know we receive no money
for anything but legitimate DANZIG and DANZIG related products.
We hate to see our fans ripped off. It makes us very angry.
Don't buy bootlegs. We'll give you plenty of quality music and
T-Shirts to choose from. There are enough people already with
their hands in the pot. Who deserves it the band or the
bootleggers?
Be Careful-DANZIG
