Joey joined the Los Angeles, CA band Wasted Youth in 1984 and recorded the 1985 EP Get Out Of My Yard as well as the 1987 LP Black Daze. He left the band in 1991 and formed Sugartooth. Wasted Youth had recorded the Reagan's In album before he joined. Both Dave Cushner and Joey eventually ended up as members of Danzig.
